Cosmelan® effectively reduces lesions caused by an increase in melanin production. Its unique formula assists in restoring smoothness and luminosity in the skin.
What is cosmelan®?
cosmelan® is a depigmenting method that removes spots fully and prevents their reappearance for a short-term outcome, while being able to maintain hyperpigmentation’s under control for a longlasting outcome. The cosmelan® method consists of 4-phases which are necessary to achieve the target outcome. Intense depigmentation in cabin in phase 1 and treatment for home use in phases 2, 3 and 4.
Preparations involved prior to a cosmelan® treatment
Before cosmelan® is carried out, you will meet with our qualified dermal clinician to have an in-depth consultation in order for us to assess if this treatment is the right one for you.
2-4 weeks prior to the treatment day you will need to follow the recommended skincare regime to prepare for the cosmelan® treatment. A medical grade skin peel may be recommended to you to strengthen your skin health should your skin barrier function be impaired.

What can I expect post treatment
Erythema, swelling, heat and increased sensitivity is to be expected. 24-72 hours itching and flaking will occur. It is highly recommended that LED light therapy is paired on day 3, at 1 week and 2 weeks post cosmelan® to speed up the healing process.
